Facebook now allows Messenger users to synchronize contacts from Instagram: work continues to better integrate the two services.

Facebook continues to integrate its services: it is now giving the possibility to expand the list of contacts on Messenger synchronizing it with that of Instagram.

As reported by TechCrunch, the company led by Mark Zuckerberg has just launched a new feature in Messenger that leaves users, who have also connected their Instagram account, to bring contacts from this social network to the instant messaging app. The option is offered in the “People” tab of Messenger, which is next to the one that allows you to synchronize contacts directly from the phone.

The feature was first noticed by Jane Manchun Wong, who posted a screenshot on Twitter:

But even outside the United States it is already available. In fact, Facebook has confirmed its global launch at TechCrunch:

Touching then on that “Connect Instagram” tab, Messenger automatically adds the contacts you have on the social media; moreover, by choosing this option, even your username and Instagram account become visible to other people with whom you have a contact in the Facebook messaging app.

This is not the first time that Facebook is going to offer integrations between its apps. There is even an option to start Facebook directly on Instagram, via an icon on the social profile page based on photos and videos.
